About
Pastor Mark Anderson, D. Miss
Pastor Mark Anderson, D. Miss is a missionary with Barnabas International, an organization committed to the pastoral care of missionaries around the world.
He and his wife, Sarah, spent 20 years in France as missionaries with a focus on evangelism and church planting. Early in their ministry years in France, they were surprised to meet people with histories of involvement with the occult. The process of walking alongside those who chose to become Christians was a high learning curve for Mark and Sarah and set them on a journey of learning more about what it means to be firmly rooted in Christ given the reality of demonic powers and spiritual oppression.
They returned to the United States in 2002 to continue their missionary calling, ministering in the U.S. and elsewhere.
Dr. Anderson was ordained as a pastor in 1986 in Antony, France by the Association of Independent Evangelical Churches. He and his wife Sarah are members of Glen Ellyn Evangelical Covenant Church in Glen Ellyn, Illinois.
Pastor Mark loves to invest his pastoral gifts in walking alongside individuals to help them become rooted in Christ, which often includes dealing with possible spiritual oppression challenges. He seeks to address possible spiritual oppression from within the context of the whole person, working in cooperation with a local church and health community.
Pastor Mark has Master of Divinity and Doctor of Missiology degrees from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois.
He and his wife Sarah live in the Chicago suburbs.
